Jacksonville Jaguars - Team History:

The Jacksonville Jaguars were a new franchise team in the state of Florida in the 1990's. Unlike the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of some 20 years before them, the Jags had some instant success and even made the playoffs early on in their teams history. With the likes of Mark Brunell at quarterback and Jimmy Smith at receiver and Fred Taylor running the ball the Jaguars In 1996 they lost to eventual SuperBowl contender the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. Since then the team has had some success although the quarterback position has been the troubled spot for the team as Brian Leftwich is gone and David Garrard is the future. He got hurt this year so a relative unknown is QB.
