Detriot Lions - Team History: The Detriot Lions have had limited success over the last 2 or 3 decades while playing the in the NFL. Ford Field is the current name of the Silverdome that I remember hearing about as a kid. The team has had Hall of Fame quality players like Barry Sanders but they have not won that elusive Super Bowl title. The current lineup of players looks to be changing the mood of the Lions into a winning franchise. Jon Kitna is the quarterback leading the team while Kevin Jones is a great running back that produces big gains each week. At wide receiver is Roy Williams from Texas University and his big play ability has been impressive on long passes this year. The division that the Lions are in is not that strong except for the Green Bay Packers. The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears are struggling this year so perhaps the Detroit Lions are headed back to the playoffs. The Lions have always been tough at home but susceptible to losing on the road which is where the best teams in the NFL do a good job. If the Lions continue their winning ways, then all those single game tickets will dry up quickly. Playoff tickets, if the team makes it, will be nearly impossible to get.
